How SiteFlipAcademy Was Born:
Back in 2005, Justin asked his wife (Chaunna), “Please, please, please can I quit my job (at Wendy’s) and work fulltime from home?” At the time, Chaunna was in college finishing up her Bachelors in Elementary Ed, Working fulltime, AND had a 3-year-old son (Dylan) with Justin. WOW… what a time to quit your day job and work from home. NOT!
Was Chaunna Happy About Justin Quitting His Job?
Well, I’m not quite sure how he talked her into it, but that following week, Justin quit his job, and Chaunna started worrying. Justin's plan was to start building sites for local businesses and then make his money as a Web Designer. Well, it didn’t take him long to realize he was still working for someone else and dealing with much bigger headaches than just flipping burgers.
From there, he got into affiliate marketing… and went 5 months before he made a single dollar! Just as Chaunna was about to give in and beg him to get another “J-O-B” Justin started to bring in some income – well it wasn’t paying all the bills, but it was some success for all his hard work! This was about the time where Chaunna graduated and they moved to the east coast where Chaunna got a job teaching at Weatherbee Elementary.

and Chaunna Graduates CollegeThey spent the next 8 months living with Justin's parents. That was a hard decision, but a good one. Chaunna was able to stop stressing over paying the bills. And Justin was able to reinvest the little that he was making back into his business. They were doing ok, but still didn't have extra cash for family trips, nice dinners, and such. This is where website flipping comes in…
Christmas of 06 was the first time, they had a little extra cash for gift giving, but Justin wanted more. You see they spent that last 4 years being a broke college couple and really wanted to have a nice Christmas – so Justin created a site and sold it for like $500. WOW talk about some extra Christmas presents!
Website Flipping Brings An Extra Special
Christmas For Justin's FamilyFrom there Justin started flipping sites from $100 - $1000 and sometimes higher. He flipped one so they could take a 4-day trip to the Keys, another for a road trip to hang out with college buddies for a weekend.
Justin even flipped a site to afford a 30 day internship with a multi-million dollar Internet marketing company. After which things really started growing fast. Chaunna got so tired of waking up at 6 am to head to work.
Justin wanted to bring his wife home. So he started showing her he was making her entire two-week pay check in just one night… Chaunna quit teaching and starting learning what Justin knew so that she could be by his side to run the biz.

To Stay At Home Helping JustinJuly 2007, they planned their first big Family vacation to New York… while driving from Philadelphia (where they visited Justin's grandparents) Justin posted one of his sites up for sale, and by the time they got to upper New York sold it for $15,000. WOWZERS! They had a killer vacation after that. Treating all the family to nice dinners, renting boats, and they even eloped!

That’s the time they started seeing REAL success in flipping websites. Forget running a business, product creation, and customer support… Justin says buy a website, fix it, and sell it! In addition to that, their tips along the way were extremely helpful, particular with the listing itself and Justin: that swipe file for a listing, along with the video walk through is like a seal to a shark, especially when modified for the particular site sold..it's buyers bait!!
